The PlayStation 4’s DualShock 4 controller will have compatibility “for basic functions” on Windows PCs out of the box, Shuhei Yoshida, President of Worldwide Studios for Sony Computer Entertainment has confirmed via Twitter. At the moment the Xbox 360 controller works with Windows PCs, and can be used within Steam. The PlayStation 3’s DualShock 3 controller can also be used at the moment, but with the need for a 3rd party program. So the news that the Dualshock 4 will work ‘out of the box’ sounds very interesting. Or is this just a bid to take the focus away from the newly announced Steam controller ?
